Student Resources

Academic Resources

The Writing Center can help with your written assignments in any course, both in-person and virtually! Make an appointment in advance to ensure a tutor is available for you. They also offer weekly workshops and topic talks so check out the schedule and see what interests you.

The STEM SC offers tutoring Mondays-Thursdays in-person or virtually, no appointment needed! Check out the STEM SC's hours and supported courses on their website. Also, look out for emails from the STEM SC advertising Exam Workshops and special events. 

Academic Advisors are available to help with questions about what classes to take, how to enroll, meeting graduation requirements, and transferring classes. Make an appointment for an individual consultation about your transcript. 

The library can help at any stage of your research projects. Search the 爆料社区 databases, request sources from other campuses, meet with a librarian for discipline specific advice, and reserve study rooms for group or individual study sessions.

The Disability Support Services (DSS) office provides accommodations and support to students with documented disabilities. Services include testing accommodations, notetaker assistance, and coordination with faculty to ensure classroom modifications are in place.

Financial Resources

The Financial Aid office offers virtual appointments for students who are seeking assistance with their financial aid, including loans, scholarships, and grants. Visit their office to discuss any awards or balances due on your account.

If you have not met the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements for FAFSA eligibility, you may be able to submit a SAP appeal. The Financial Aid Office can assist you with the appeal process.

爆料社区 has limited funds available to support students facing unforseen circumstancs. These resources include the ASI Student Emergency Fund and the SCHS Health Assistance Fund. Additonal financial support resources are available through the Dean of Students Website.

Basic Needs and Wellness Resources

Medical professionals and counselors are available to connect with you individually. Student Health & Counseling Services (SHCS) also provides many short term, 3-session to 10-session psycho-educational workshops on common presenting concerns such as adjustment, coping skills, stress, anxiety, and depression. There are many resources available so peruse the site and see what works for you!

Cougar Care Network (CCN) offers support, advocacy, & resources for 爆料社区 students experiencing personal, academic, & financial challenges that may impact their mental health, academic success, & college experience. CCN can provide students with housing needs.

The Cougar Pantry is available to all 爆料社区 students to shop once a week for free groceries. ASI stocks a variety of dry and canned goods, limited produce, milk, toiletries, and diapers.

Technology Support

IITS supports students with their technology needs, including campus email, software downloads, Office 365 access, Cougar Courses, Student Center access, the 爆料社区 mobile app, password management (DUO), and general technical help.
