Enrollment Tips for New Students

Here鈥檚 what to keep in mind as you get started:

• Register for what鈥檚 currently open. Start by enrolling in the classes available now. You can continue checking the Class Schedule and modifying your schedule until the add/drop period in January.
• Waitlists are normal (and helpful!): If a class is full, join the waitlist鈥攕pots often open as students adjust schedules. While enrollment from the waitlist isn鈥檛 guaranteed, it helps colleges gauge demand and plan accordingly.
• More classes may become available: Colleges are actively reviewing student needs and may add new sections. Course availability typically improves as enrollment progresses.
• Your schedule isn鈥檛 set in stone: It鈥檚 completely typical for students to adjust their schedules later as new options and openings appear. Flexibility is built into the process.
