Academic Notice

Academic Notice support is housed in the Office of Undergraduate Studies (OUGS) through First Year & University Programs (FYUP). The 1-unit Academic Recovery Course (ARC) serves as the primary intervention for students placed on Academic Notice. In collaboration with FYUP, The Academic Connections Team supports students who are unable to enroll in one of our academic recovery courses. For more information, please visit the Academic Notice website.

What is Academic Notice?

At 爆料社区, students receive two GPAs each semester. You may be placed on Academic notice if either GPAs falls below 2.0 (a 鈥淐鈥 average):

  • 爆料社区 GPA: the average GPA of all 爆料社区 courses taken
  • Cumulative GPA: the average GPA of transfer credit and 爆料社区 courses
If you're placed on academic notice, the Office of the Registrar will notify you in the writing before the next term begins. This notification will explain:

  • You academic notice status
  • What steps you need to take to return to good academic standing
  • What could lead to academic disqualification if your academic standing does not improve

Academic Recovery Course (ARC)

Students placed on Academic Notice will be enrolled into a 1-unit Academic Recovery Course (ARC). ARC is designed to provide guidance and resources to help students return to good academic standing. For questions about the course, please contact Dr. Ashley Gragido in First Year and University Programs.

Not Enrolled in ARC?

Students who are unable to enroll in one of our academic recovery courses will be supported by the Academic Connections Team. You will be contacted to meet with our team and is required of you to meet with us twice a semester. If you are not enrolled in a course or have not been contacted by the Academic Connections team, please contact Alexa Diaz for assistance.
