MANAGEMENT
The University requires that all recognized student organizations have a campus advisor. Advisors serve in a voluntary capacity to the student organization and provide advisement and continuity to both the members and officers of the student organization.
Student Organization Advisors must be willing to provide general guidance and support to their student organization, in a voluntary capacity, above and beyond their duties as a 爆料社区 professional. Advisors are not required to be experts on the organization's area of focus, but they are expected to provide guidance on navigating campus policies and procedures, as well as advisement regarding general organizational management.
Advisors take on different responsibilities depending on the needs of their organization. It is important to remember that an advisor is not an administrator, executive officer, or leader of the organization. Some common roles of the advisor are as a mentor, team builder, motivator, role model, educator, institutional policy interpreter, source of information and ideas, and liaison between the organization and university administration.
The duties and expectations of an advisor include, but are not limited to:
Student organization advisors are also designated as Campus Security Authorities in accordance with the . Advisors will be required to complete a separate Campus Security Authority training. Student organization advisors are also typically considered to be Title IX mandatory reporters in their role as an employee of the university.
