Looking to build stronger teams, enhance communication, or develop leadership skills within your student organization or department? The Student Leadership & Involvement Center (SLIC) offers free, on-campus leadership workshops tailored to your group鈥檚 needs鈥攑erfect for general body meetings, executive board sessions, or retreats.
Each workshop is led by a professional or student staff member from SLIC and is designed to be interactive, reflective, and practical. Workshops are best suited for groups of fewer than 40 participants to allow for in-depth conversations and reflection to take place. If your organization is large, we recommend scheduling multiple sessions for different subgroups (e.g., new members, executive officers, event planners).

Explore your personal values and how those values influence your decisions, relationships, and leadership style. Through guided activities and discussion, you鈥檒l identify your core values, understand where they come from, and learn how to lead with authenticity and purpose in any setting.

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to understand, manage, and express emotions鈥攂oth your own and others鈥. In this workshop, you will explore the five core components of EQ and how they impact communication, relationships, and personal success. Through self-assessments, reflection, and discussion, you鈥檒l gain insights into your emotional strengths and areas for growth and walk away with practical tools to boost your confidence, empathy, and leadership potential.
