Dear CSTEM Community,
As we begin another academic year, I want to pause and recognize the remarkable journey our students are on. Building a foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) is both challenging and rewarding, and I know the path is not without its hurdles. Your resilience, creativity, and commitment to growth continue to inspire me.
This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淟evel Up: Embrace the Plot Twist,鈥 captures the moment we find ourselves in. The advent of Artificial Intelligence and the growing influence of machine learning in STEM challenge us to retool, stretch our imaginations, and think far outside the box. Like any good plot twist, these changes may feel unexpected or even daunting鈥攂ut they also open the door to new opportunities and discoveries we never envisioned before.
We know that many in our community鈥攕tudents, faculty, staff, and STEM professionals alike鈥攎ay feel some uncertainty as the pace of change accelerates. Yet this very moment underscores how vital our STEM community is to society. By 鈥渓eveling up鈥 together, we are not simply adapting to change鈥攚e are guiding it.
