After students have taken the EAP, they will receive their results in their CAASPP student reports, which are sent to their home. This page highlights how to understand your scores. For more information on how to understand your test results, review CAASPP's webpage on  .

EAP Statuses Under CAASPP

  • Standard Exceeded = Ready Status (Level 4)
  • Standard Met = Conditionally Ready Status (Level 3)
  • Standard Nearly Met = Not Yet Demonstrating Readiness (Level 2)
  • Standard Not Met = Not Demonstrating Readiness (Level 1)

Other Ways to Be EAP Conditional

Math

  • SAT: 520-560 on math section
  • ACT: 20-22 on math section

English

  • SAT: 510-540 on Reading and Writing section
  • ACT: 19-21 on English section
  • What Math Class Will Meet My Conditionally Ready Status?

    As a conditionally ready student, you can meet the entry-level math requirement by taking an approved year-long math course as a senior and earning a grade of C-minus or better. The following high school courses have been approved:

    • Trigonometry and math analysis
    • Precalculus
    • Calculus
    • AP Calculus AB
    • AP Calculus BC
    • AP Statistics
    • AP Physics

    Any other year-long high school math course with Algebra II or Integrated Math III as a prerequisite is approved.

  • What English Class Will Meet My Conditionally Ready Status?

    Obtain full ready status by taking one of these full-year courses as a senior and passing it with a grade of C-minus or higher. Be sure to select a course taught by a certified instructor.

    • Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC)
    • International Baccalaureate (IB) English
    • AP Language and Composition or AP Literature and Composition
    • English course approved for extra honors weight on the University of California A-G course list
