Early Start Workshop

The Cougar Scholars: Early Start Program helps new students strengthen their skills in math and written communication before starting college in the fall. It’s designed to support your academic journey and improve your chances of graduating on time.

Students are placed into the Cougar Scholars: Early Start Program based on systemwide placement standards, which include standardized test scores and high school coursework.

Workshop Details

The workshops will walk you through the summer Cougar Scholars: Early Start Program courses and help you decide which classes are the best fit for you.

Start by signing up with a date and time that works best for you. 

 


At the information session, you will learn:

  • Why it’s helpful to begin your college coursework during the summer
  • What to expect from your summer classes — including course details, costs, parking, and materials
  • What’s expected of you as a Cougar Scholars: Early Start Program student
  • How to complete your registration for summer classes
