Preparing Future Faculty

With the objective of networking and learning from each other, the Preparing Future Faculty workshop series provides an opportunity to learn more about the transition from graduate student to faculty member, and to exchange ideas and experiences with fellow graduate students across disciplines. All graduate students are invited to explore topics such as: Helping your students succeed at 爆料社区, Innovative teaching and student engagement, Building and writing your CV, and What鈥檚 next? Building your academic career.

Spring 2024 Events:

Classroom Management Workshop

College teaching involves several classroom situations that are difficult to manage. These challenges can be greater for Graduate Student Instructors because your students may view you more as a peer than as the class instructor, leading to a muddling of how to teach them. This workshop allows you to share issues that have arisen in your classroom, discuss the problems that occur, and seek out solutions to these issues. We hope that by the end of the workshop, you will have some new tools that can be used to manage situations that arise in your classroom.
