EOP Appointments

EOP students are required to meet with their counselor at least once per semester through their graduation. Please be sure to read the "Prior to your Appointment" instructions before your  appointment.

Important Updates: 
The EOP Office no longer offers drop-in advising.

Please schedule an appointment with your assigned counselor or visit the for support.

Prior to your Appointment

In-Person Appointment:

  1. Locate the EOP Office: Administrative Building 4100.
    • Temporary Location for Summer 2025: Kellogg 1103
  2. Ensure you have your digital student ID.

Virtual Appointment:

  1. Go to 
  2. Student log-in: username@csusm.edu 
  3. Click on Microsoft Teams
  4. Download the desktop (computer) Teams App
    • Teams App can be downloaded through the download App button at the bottom left of your Teams screen.
    • Downloading the Microsoft Teams App is free on iOS and Android devices.

Day of Appointment

In-Person Appointment:

  • Sign-in at the Front Desk with your student ID (this ensures you receive credit for this contact).
  • Students will be considered a no-show if you do not arrive within 10 minutes of your appointment. 
  • Inform the front desk staff that you have a scheduled appointment.
  • Wait for your EOP Counselor to come out and call your name.
  • After your appointment, SIGN OUT at the Front Desk.

Virtual Appointment:

  • Students are recommended to turn on Teams notifications.
  • Students may directly message counselor; however, your counselor will connect with you on Teams at the time of your appointment. 
  • Students are expected to be ready at the time of your appointment. 
  • Students will be considered a no-show if there is no response after 10 minutes of staff attempting to reach out. 
  • Guests may not accompany a student into their advising appointment (including teleconference appointments) without a FERPA Release []

 Appointment Information

  • EOP offers counseling appointments to EOP students only.
  • Appointments can be scheduled online or in-person.
  • Appointment availability can be viewed up to 14 days in advance and scheduled no more than 12 hours in advance.
  • Students are assigned to EOP counselors according to students' last name.
  • Appointment sessions are 30 minutes in length.
  • When you schedule an appointment, you will receive an immediate confirmation email. Please review the information for accuracy.
  • Students may cancel appointment prior to appointment session by logging into the "".
