Testimonials

The first few modules of this course were especially helpful to me, as it made me realize I had been suffering from compassion fatigue for a very long time. I realized the boundaries I had never learned to set. I learned I needed to not take a person鈥檚 pain but rather sit with them and witness their journey with them. I thought I had signed up for this course strictly for professional reasons. However, it turned out to be part of my personal journey, a healing process, and growth experience for me.

I learned better ways to communicate with patients and other members of the interdisciplinary team. I feel confident as I pursue a new career utilizing the skills I learned in this course.

Randi Skelton

NP-C

This class was valuable even for me as an experienced hospice provider, as it provided profound knowledge regarding palliative care matters from all different angles. From normal scenarios to emergencies, adult palliative care to pediatric palliative care, social and medical aspects, everything was included. I loved learning from my classmates in the weekly discussions threads and getting to know their different perspectives.

Sabine Haas

NP

Palliative care is growing at a rapid pace in our healthcare system and it is going to be necessary for every type of provider to be able to have conversations that are open and honest. This course helped me grasp a much more comprehensive understanding of palliative care and will allow me to be a better provider and leader for change.
