Co-Curricular Funding

The University has funding to assist in the sponsorship of traditional co-curricular events.  Some examples of traditional events are graduate recognition ceremonies, cultural events, celebrations and leadership conferences. Co-Curricular events must be sponsored by a recognized student organization or a university department.  Student organization advisors must be actively involved in the development of proposals and provide oversight for student organization event planning.

We are now accepting applications for Spring 2026 term events. The deadline to submit your application is Friday, January 30, 2026.

Awardees will be notified by Friday, February 27, 2026

Remember, your application will be evaluated based on the following criteria (please see attached rubric):

  • Number of student participants
  • Detailed description of the application & how the event is co-curricular in nature
  • Financial commitment to the event with itemized budget
  • How this event supports the University Mission and Strategic Priorities
  • Fundraising events and/or events with alcohol beverages will not be considered for co-curricular funding

Only one application per department or student organization will be accepted. If you have any questions, contact the Dean of Students Office at dos@csusm.edu
