STEM Voyagers
STEM Voyagers is CRESE鈥檚 newest afterschool program, designed to transport upper elementary
students into immersive storylines where STEM concepts come to life. Over the course
of ten weeks, students become problem-solvers on exciting missions inspired by real-world
science and discovery. Students play a role in an unfolding story where their creativity, teamwork, and innovation
drive the mission forward.
The current STEM Voyagers storyline, 鈥淛ourney to Exoplanet Zeta,鈥 invites students
to travel to and survive on a newly discovered alien world. Each week, voyagers take
on new challenges, from launching rockets and building shelters to designing rovers,
testing and filtering water, and even discovering alien life.
What Students Experience
鉁 Hands-on Design Challenges 鈥 Build, test, and iterate on projects tied to the storyline.
鉁 Collaborative Storytelling 鈥 Work as a team of voyagers on shared missions.
鉁 STEM Skill-Building 鈥 Gain confidence in circuitry, engineering, biology and scientific thinking.
鉁 Personal Connection 鈥 Journaling and reflection activities help students connect STEM learning to their
own lives.
