Attorneys will meet individually with students and/or their loved ones to assess opportunities for naturalization, assist with DACA renewals and provide referrals.

In collaboration with UURISE, JFS, the COMPASS center & UPRISE we bring FREE Legal Immigration Services to you.

Mental Health Counseling 

Individual and group sessions: offered in English, by a licensed mental health professional with a specialization in working with individuals impacted by immigration challenges. Please note that individual counseling is offered only to students of Cal State San Marcos.

Free support group for undocumented, mixed-status, and immigration impacted students.

Emergency Line available for students who need to speak to a counselor immediately, but it's after hours, please call at (760) 750-4915 and press 9 to be directly connected with a phone counselor who is contracted with SHCS 24 hours/7 days a week.

Safety Planning Workshops

Trained professionals will assess students and loved ones' needs and assist them in creating a plan of what can be done in the event that they or a family member is detained or deported. These plans are individually designed to protect an individual, a family, and their assets.

Scholarship Guide

Get assistance with scholarship applications and stay updated on the latest scholarships available to undocumented students. Current scholarship applications for undergraduate and graduate students are located on our Scholarships page.

Financial Aid Assistance

In collaboration with financial aid, the DREAMer Resource Office offers workshops on the California Dream Act and Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications.

UndocuAlly Training

±¬ÁÏÉçÇø faculty and staff are invited to attend UndocuAlly Trainings to increase their knowledge and skills to support undocumented students. 

Incoming Student Support

The COMPASS center hosts events for incoming ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø students in the hope of making their college transition smoother by providing campus resources and one-on-one help with financial aid, residency, and class registration.  

Entrepreneur Workshops

Learn what you need to start your business. Entrepreneurship (the act of starting your business), is an option for anyone regardless of immigration status. Learn how your interests, skills, and talents can be used to start your own business.

Peer Networking

Connect with peers from ±¬ÁÏÉçÇø (Undergraduate + Graduate students). Featuring panels of successful undocu-students and professionals, and special guest speakers.

COMPASS Library

Cal State San Marcos students are able to borrow books and textbooks needed for general education classes from our library.
