Drs. Michelle A. Holling and Dreama G. Moon published 鈥溾 in one of their discipline鈥檚 premier journals the Quarterly Journal of Speech. In their article, they examine events leading up to and occurring in 2020 using
vision, and refractive diseases and disorders, as a metaphorical framework. The metaphor
enables them to make sense of and assess acute events that marked the election season
through obstructions that impinge on vision. They also identify competing visions
of America/Amerikkka to facilitate explicating the nation鈥檚 vision and national vision.
