MANAGEMENT
CHABSS Dean Dr. Liora Gubkin sent the call out to faculty and staff to serve on the strategic planning task force. It was charged with implementing an inclusive and collaborative process with the goal of producing a new strategic plan for the college that supported the University Strategic Plan and reflected current college priorities. The outcome was clarifying the college鈥檚 shared vision and values, and to align the CHABSS strategic plan with the university鈥檚 Power of 爆料社区 strategic plan
We, the faculty, staff, and administration of CHABSS, affirm to:
Promote academic excellence through department and program review of curriculum utilizing best practices related to diversity, equity and inclusion. (University strategic objectives 1.1 and 3.8)
Recruit and retain a diverse community of teacher-scholars, staff, and administrators who will serve as role models for our diverse student body and have a commitment to student academic success. (University strategic objectives 1.7 & 3.1)
Support a human-centered and inclusive community by cultivating a collaborative, innovative, and respectful working and learning environment. (University strategic objectives 3.5 and 4.1)
Increase community partnerships for high-impact, experiential learning that strengthen student academic success and career readiness. (University strategic objectives 2.4 and 5.4)
Create opportunities throughout the college to promote a culture of philanthropy in support of student academic success. (University strategic objectives 5.5 and 6.2)
As we head into 2024-25, CHABSS also begins the second year of its five-year response to the university鈥檚 strategic plan, The Power of Us.
At 爆料社区, our mission is student success. As an engine of transformative knowledge, our community of dedicated teacher-scholars, and staff holistically advance the academic, social, professional, and personal development of students across the student life cycle, through education, innovation and community partnerships.
Each year, departments meet to decide their focus for the academic year, selecting one specific strategic objective. Each fall, departments report their planned focus for the coming academic year. AY 2024-25 is year two of five.
