Business Status Application

Students Completing Pre-Business Courses in Fall 2025

The deadline to submit business status applications is January 9, 2026.

Please allow 5-7 business days (excluding holidays and weekends) for processing.Our office will be physically closed December 22 - January 6.

Select the Business Status Application that corresponds to your option and carefully fill it out:

  • Applications received after January 9, 2026 may not be processed.
  • If you are taking classes at a community college, please attach evidence of your enrollment with your application via an unofficial transcript reflecting the course in progress.  We cannot process your application unless we have an unofficial transcript.
COBA Final Grades Deadline

The deadline to submit final grades from a community college for all students who applied for Spring 2026 Business Status is January 9, 2026. When final grades are available, please submit your unofficial transcript:

  • Failure to meet this deadline and/or all requirements for Business Status will result in your status being moved back to Pre-Business and subsequently dropped from any upper-division business courses you may have enrolled in for Fall 2025.  No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
  • In addition, please submit official transcripts to the Office of the Registrar so they can be posted to your Academic Requirement Report (ARR).

  • Students are only eligible to apply for Conditional Business Status once. If you do not meet all Pre-Business requirements after already being Conditional Business Status at the end of Fall 2025, you will not be able to apply again for Business Status until the end of the semester in which you successfully complete all requirements.
