Campus Partnerships

Success Coaching depends heavily on the cooperation and collaboration of our campus partners to help ensure student success across many areas. For this reason, our team has several partnerships with University Housing, Student Life Centers, Early Academic Intervention, and first year GE courses such as UNIV 180, GEO, GEW, and Math 105.

On-Campus Housing:

During the beginning and end of each semester, the Office of Success Coaching partners with each of the on-campus properties (North Commons, The QUAD, University Village Apartments) to welcome our students and to celebrate the completion of each semester.

Student Life Centers:

The Office of Success Coaching is partnering with the APIDA Wayfinders and Black Student Success Initiative Residential Programs. We look forward to working with the first-year students in these programs starting Summer 2025 and through their entire first year.

Early Academic Intervention:

The goal of Early Academic Intervention is to help students succeed in their courses by providing support and resources for a variety of academic needs. This means, if your professor notices any signs of struggle, including poor attendance and low engagement with a course, they may submit an EAI referral for you. If you are referred, your Success Coach will be in touch to see how they can help you reach your academic goals for the term.

First Year GE Course Support:

During the first few weeks of your UNIV 180, GEO, GEW, and/or Math 105 course, a Success Coach may come to present to the class. Our office will also be working with your instructors throughout your freshman year to track your academic progress and ensure that you receive the resources you need to be successful in your first year.

*Faculty looking to schedule an in class presentation from our office, please see our Request for Presentation Form.

Cougar Care Network:

First year students referred to CCN for academically related concerns may be assigned to Success Coaching to follow-up. Should the need arise for more intensive intervention and resources, our team will reconnect with CCN to ensure appropriate referrals are made.
