Movement Science
The Movement Science is designed for students interested in pursuing professional study in health related fields including physical therapy, physician assistant, nursing, prosthetics, or other programs requiring more rigorous preparation in the sciences. Students interested in these fields should consult the prerequisite list for the graduate schools to which they intend to apply. Graduates from this program are also well-prepared for jobs in personal training, cardiac rehabilitation, nutrition consulting, corporate fitness, assisting in orthopedic rehabilitation settings, and more.
Health Science
The Health Science option is designed for students interested in professional service
in public health, health/fitness education and promotion, wellness coaching, health
research and community health advocacy and programming. Graduates will be skilled
in promoting positive, personal behavior changes that have an impact on the health
of individuals and their communities. They will be well-prepared to pursue graduate
programs in public health, nursing, kinesiology and health science.
