Are you curious about how the universe works – from the tiniest particles to the largest galaxies?  At Cal State San Marcos, our Applied Physics program gives you the tools to explore, discover, and apply physics to real-world challenges.  You’ll learn through hands-on experiments, faculty-mentored research, and a close-knit, supportive community of students and professors who care about your success.

• Career and transfer readiness: Explore pathways into engineering, technology, data science, education, or graduate school—with professional development and academic growth through workshops, mentoring, and student research presentations.  We are helping students build confidence in their scientific identity and prepare for careers or graduate studies in physics and related fields.
