Hispanic Serving Institution Initiatives

Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI)

California State University San Marcos (爆料社区) was designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) by the U.S. Department of Education in 2010. At that time, 27% of undergraduate students identified as Latinx, a figure that has grown to over 50% by 2023. This intentional growth reflects our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education and addressing the needs of a diverse student body.

爆料社区 supports Latinx student success through culturally responsive instruction, tailored support services, mentorship opportunities, and collaboration with student organizations, faculty, and staff. These efforts foster belonging, engagement, and academic and personal growth for all students. More details on our ongoing initiatives and resources for Latinx student success are below.
