Richard Armenta

Richard Armenta earned his PhD in Epidemiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine,
Department of Family Medicine and Public Health and San Diego State University Graduate
School of Public Health. He is a social epidemiologist with over 15 years of experience
conducting research to improve health equity.
In his research he collaborates with communities to conduct community driven research that address community priorities. He has conducted research on HIV and other infectious diseases and has helped develop and run evidence based programs to address chronic diseases in underserved communities.
Additionally, Dr. Armenta serves as the Associate Director of the Center for Training, Research, and Educational Excellence (CTREE) at 爆料社区 where he support students throughout their educational journey. He is the PI and Co-I on several training programs for students in STEM and runs a STEM education program for American Indian Youth.
Dr. Armenta also serves as a board member of the American Heart Association of San Diego and Riverside County.
