Online After School Programming

We are excited to offer online STEM afterschool programming. Students at different school sites will meet online with a group of highly qualified 爆料社区 undergraduate students to think, design, and create solutions to real-world problems using technology tools and STEM project kits. Each co-design session will last about 1 hour each week. A 爆料社区 administrator and a school staff will be present at each session to monitor the session.

When you sign up for our program at your school site, you will  received: (1) the dates for each session, (2) a Zoom link for the meetings (we will use the same link for all sessions at a school site), and (3) a passcode to join the zoom meeting.

Structure of Each Session

Each session will include a short community building activity followed by an introduction of a design challenge informed by the that identify global challenges we face such as poverty, hunger, climate change, environmental degradation, etc. Students then will brainstorm ideas for a solution and learn to use a technology tool to enact their solutions in small groups in breakout rooms. Finally, students will get together as a whole group to share and reflect on their designs and learning. Students will be encouraged to continue to work on their designs and share it on FlipGrid before the next session.
